Digital Mammography

Mammography is the gold standard in breast imaging and can detect cancer and other problems before lumps become large enough to be felt, as well as assisting in the diagnosis of other breast problems.

Breast Ultrasound

Contributes to the diagnosis of breast abnormalities, characterises potential abnormalities and determines if an abnormality is a cancerous tumour or benign cysts. Combining ultrasound and mammography in the breast screening process significantly increases earlier detection of cancers especially amongst women with dense breasts.

Breast MRI

This is not a replacement of mammography or ultrasound but an essential supplement tool for detecting and staging breast cancer or other breast abnormalities. Breast MRI is the gold standard of imaging for the assessment of breast implants.
